On 17th May 2026, the Lagos state chapter commemorated World Hypertension Day 2026 as part of its commitment to promoting public health and preventing non-communicable diseases. The activity focused on raising awareness about hypertension, its associated risk factors, and evidence-based strategies for prevention and control.

The Nutrition Society of Nigeria (NSN), Osun State Chapter, commemorated World Hypertension Day 2026 on May 17, 2026, through a virtual awareness programme themed “Controlling Hypertension Together.”

The Nutrition Society of Nigeria (Oyo State Chapter), in collaboration with the Oyo State Ministry of Health, the Department of Human Nutrition and Dietetics, College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, and the Nigerian Heart Foundation, successfully commemorated the 2026 World Hypertension Day on May 20, 2026.

The Nutrition Society of Nigeria (NSN), Anambra State Chapter, successfully hosted its maiden induction ceremony for newly graduated Nutritionists of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Nnewi Campus, on 7th May 2026 at the Faculty of Health Sciences and Technology Auditorium.

The Nutrition Society of Nigeria (NSN), Akwa Ibom State Chapter, in collaboration with the Dietitians Association of Nigeria (DAN) and with the support of the Wife of the Uyo Local Government Area Chairman, Mrs. Akaninyene Uwemedimo Udo, commemorated the 2026 World Hypertension Day with a four-day public health awareness campaign held from 17th–20th May, 2026, in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
