NSN LAGOS STATE CHAPTER COMMEMORATES WORLD HYPERTENSION DAY 2026

On 17th May 2026, the Lagos state chapter commemorated World Hypertension Day 2026 as part of its commitment to promoting public health and preventing non-communicable diseases. The activity focused on raising awareness about hypertension, its associated risk factors, and evidence-based strategies for prevention and control.

The programme provided participants with valuable information on the role of nutrition and healthy lifestyle practices in maintaining optimal blood pressure levels. Emphasis was placed on the importance of adopting balanced diets, reducing excessive salt intake, engaging in regular physical activity, maintaining a healthy weight, and avoiding harmful habits that contribute to hypertension.
