Become a member of the Nutrition Society of Nigeria
Thank you for choosing to become a member of the Nutrition Society of Nigeria. There are Four (4) membership classes for new members into the Society –

Applicant must possess the basic minimum qualification of a Degree, Higher National Diploma (HND) or its equivalent in Human Nutrition from a tertiary Institution in Nigeria or abroad.
- The applicant shall be professionally engaged in related disciplines to nutrition, namely: Physiology, Biochemistry, Medicine, General Agriculture, Food Technology, Home Economics, and Public Health.
- Applicant must possess the basic minimum qualification of a Degree, Higher National Diploma (HND), or its equivalent in any of the disciplines listed above from a tertiary institution in Nigeria or abroad.
The applicant shall be a full-time undergraduate student in a recognized tertiary Institution in Nigeria or abroad pursuing a course in Human Nutrition that will qualify him/her for admission into Full membership of the Society on graduation.
Applicant must be a recognized Institution such as Research Institutes, Companies, Firms, Societies, NGOs, and such other bodies that may contribute to the furtherance of the aims and objectives of the Society.

Documents required for the completion of the membership application form:
Before proceeding to fill out the full membership application form, ensure that the following documents are ready for attachment to your form:
- Applicant’s recent 2 X 2 passport-sized photograph with white background. The passport should be in Jpeg format.
- Copy of applicant’s qualifying credential. This is the certificate that qualifies the applicant for the membership category applied for as stated in the requirements/criteria.
(Note that applications with discrepancies in the certificate attached, qualifications filled in the form, and membership category will be rejected).
3. Completed Reference letters by applicant’s State Chapter Chairman (or Secretary) and any other financial member of the Society.

3. Applicants should download the reference letter format and give it to the referees to complete. Completed reference letters should be attached.
(Note that application will not be processed if only one referee signed the reference letter and if the other referee is not financially up to date)
4. E-payment of Three thousand Naira (N3,000.00) application processing fee
Processing of the application takes about 2 months because of the time needed for the verification of the documents attached.
