UPDATE ON THE 50TH AGM AND SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE, KADUNA 2020 14th October, 2020

Dear respected NSN members and non-members interested in participation at the forthcoming 50th NSN Conference, after reviewing the COVID-19 protocols in Kaduna State and the online registration and payments made within the early bird registration period, we observed that the maximum number of participants allowed to be physically present at the conference venue have been reached.

To this effect, we hereby issue the following notice:

Conference Registration and Participation:
1. Only participants who have completed the online registration on or before November 14, 2020 will be allowed access to the conference proceedings at either physical or virtual space.

2. There will NOT be onsite registration.

3. All participants that paid for early bird registration (N20,000) but have not registered for the conference are requested to register online on or before Friday, October 23, 2020 via the link http://nutritionnigeria.org/conference_registration/

4. Participants that registered online or paid within early bird period (subject to 3 above) will have the option of participating in the conference physically or virtually.

5. Participants that registered or paid within late registration period (October 1 – November 14, 2020) will only participate in the conference virtually

6. All registered participants who participate in the conference virtually will have their full package of conference materials and certificates of participation delivered to them through the States NSN leadership.

Presentation of Scientific Papers:

7. All presenters of accepted abstracts who have registered within early bird period can select to present their papers physically or virtually. Details will be contained in the acceptance letters.

8. All presenters of accepted abstracts who have or are to register for the conference lately are to present their papers virtually. Details will be contained in the acceptance letters.

Orientation and Induction of Newly Admitted Members:

9. The orientation and induction ceremony of newly admitted members will be done both physically and virtually. Details will be contained in the induction invitation letter.

10. Only newly admitted members who paid their induction fees and annual dues on or before Friday October 16, 2020, as contained in their admission letters, will participate in the orientation and induction ceremony either physically or virtually.

11. All inductees who participate in the induction virtually will have their membership certificate and NSN Constitution delivered to them through their NSN State Chapter leadership.

We thank you most sincerely for the support and understanding as we try to abide by the COVID-19 prevention protocols without compromising the standard of the 50th Annual Conference of the NSN.
