The Nutrition Society of Nigeria invites all registered participants for the 55th Annual General Meeting and Scientific Conference to register for the pre-conference workshop.

The Nigerian Society for Nutrition (NSN) joined the global nutrition community at the 23rd International Congress of Nutrition (IUNS-ICN 2025), held from 24–29 August 2025 at the Palais des Congrès, Paris, France.

Abia State Governor Alex Otti has approved an extension of maternity leave for nursing mothers in the state civil service from 16 weeks to six months.

The event, which was held in Katsina metropolis, focused especially on sensitizing people to the benefits of exclusive breastfeeding for infants during the first six months after birth, as well as the need to provide adequate nutrition for pregnant women. Stakeholders in various health sectors expressed serious concern about how failure to adhere to these principles has led to the spread of malnutrition, particularly in rural areas of Katsina State.
