NSN Katsina State Chapter organized a one-day celebration on the 19th October at the Women and Technology Centre (WTC), Katsina.
The celebration brought together members of the Society, nutrition professionals, and about nine secondary school students who are members of the Food and Nutrition Clubs under the umbrella of NSN Katsina State Chapter.
Speaking at the event, NSN Katsina leadership highlighted the importance of World Food Day, celebrated annually on 16th October to commemorate the founding of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO).
Activities during the one-day event included raising awareness of healthy foods, food demonstrations, and presenting certificates to participants.
The Society reaffirmed its commitment to promoting good nutrition, supporting school nutrition clubs, and collaborating with stakeholders to improve food security and nutrition outcomes in Katsina State.
