In line with its commitment to improving community nutrition and supporting vulnerable populations, the Nutrition Society of Nigeria (NSN), Katsina State Chapter, in partnership with the Al’umma Direct Relief Foundation, conducted a targeted feeding intervention on the 7th March, 2026 for Almajirai in Katsina State.
The outreach initiative was designed to provide nutritious meals to 200 Almajirai while raising awareness about the importance of adequate nutrition among vulnerable children. Proper nutrition plays a vital role in supporting children’s growth, health, and learning, and access to safe and nourishing food remains essential in addressing malnutrition and poor health outcomes.
Through this collaborative effort, the NSN Katsina State Chapter reaffirmed its dedication to promoting community wellbeing through nutrition-focused interventions aimed at supporting underserved populations.
The Chapter appreciates the commitment and collective efforts of its members, partners, and volunteers whose contributions made the intervention impactful.
NSN remains focused on advancing sustainable initiatives that improve the nutritional status and overall well-being of children across communities.
