NSN EBONYI STATE CHAPTER CONDUCTS ELECTION FOR NEW EXECUTIVES
The Ebonyi State Chapter of the Nutrition Society of Nigeria successfully conducted its chapter election on 15th December 2025 at the Amusement Park, Abakaliki, Ebonyi State. The election was organized by the Chapter Electoral Committee to democratically elect executives who will pilot the affairs of the chapter for the next tenure, in line with the provisions of the NSN Constitution. The exercise was conducted in a free and fair. Member accreditation preceded the voting process. The positions of Chairperson, Secretary, and Treasurer were returned unopposed, while other positions were filled through nominations and open ballot voting.
Voting, vote counting, and announcement of results were carried out openly in the presence of members and observers.
The newly elected executives are as follows:
- Chairperson: Nutr. Chinaza Okereke
- Vice Chairperson: Nutr. Nwelibe Friday
- Secretary: Nutr. Chukwuemeka Chinasa
- Treasurer: Nutr. Obaji Irene
- Financial Secretary: Nutr. Tobenna Ebenu
- Publicity Secretary: Nutr. Precious Obun
The election recorded commendable participation and was conducted in a peaceful and orderly atmosphere. Members demonstrated professionalism and unity throughout the process.
The newly elected officers expressed appreciation for the confidence reposed in them and pledged to work diligently towards promoting nutrition awareness, professional excellence, and active member engagement within Ebonyi State.
The Chapter commends the Electoral Committee and all members for their cooperation and peaceful conduct, as the new leadership assumes responsibility for advancing the objectives of the Nutrition Society of Nigeria at the state level.
