The President of the Nutrition Society of Nigeria (NSN) Prof. Wasiu Afolabi on Monday 19th December 2022 paid a courtesy visit to the Vice Chancellor of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture who is also the immediate past President of Nigeria Institute of Food Science and Technology (NIFST)- Prof. Madu Ofo Iwe.
The NSN President was accompanied by the General Secretary of NSN-Dr. Patricia Ukegbu, Prof. Ogechi Nzeagwu (HOD, Human Nutrition, and Dietetics), and Prof. Julie Anyika-Elekeh. The Vice-Chancellor welcomed the NSN President using the traditional kola breaking and prayers.
During the visit, the issue of closer collaboration in terms of research and capacity building between NSN and NIFST were emphasized.
