The Nutrition Society of Nigeria (NSN), Kano State Chapter, has elected new executives to lead the association.
The election was overseen by a caretaker committee headed by Professor M. K. Atiku, which received and screened applications from candidates in line with the NSN constitution.
At the close of the process, the outgoing executive was formally dissolved and the new leadership sworn in. Saadatu Sulaiman emerged as Chairperson, while Auwal Musa Umar was elected Secretary-General. Other members of the new executive include Aisha and Jamilu, with outstanding vacant positions expected to be filled by the new team.
The National President of NSN, Professor S.M Abubakar, who attended the ceremony, commended the smooth transition and charged the new executive to embrace inclusiveness and provide leadership that will strengthen nutrition interventions in the state.
