In a moment marked by purpose and promise, Mrs. Comfort Daniel Madaki, the Chairperson of the Nutrition Society of Nigeria (NSN), Bauchi State Chapter, was officially inaugurated as one of the advocacy champions for the Accelerating Investment in Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health and Nutrition (AIM-MNCNH) initiative in Bauchi State.
The ceremony, held on June 30th, 2025, at the State Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, drew stakeholders from across the health sector.
The inauguration was performed on behalf of the Honourable Commissioner for Health by the Executive Chairman of the State Primary Health Care Development Board, lending weight and authority to the occasion.
Mrs. Madaki’s appointment is far from ceremonial. With a sterling track record in maternal and newborn child nutrition and health, her selection reflects not only recognition of her past achievements but also a bold step toward future progress. Her voice now joins a growing chorus of advocates determined to turn data into decisions and policies into impact.
“As a champion, I am a voice for the voiceless mothers and children,” Madaki said passionately. “I stand as a bridge between evidence and action, an agent for improving maternal, newborn, and child health across Bauchi State.”
Her words resonate deeply in a state where maternal and child health indicators remain a critical concern. As an advocacy champion, she steps into a vital role: galvanizing support, influencing policy, and ensuring no mother or child is left behind.
The AIM-MNCNH initiative aims to accelerate strategic investments and actions to improve health outcomes across Nigeria. With Mrs. Madaki and others at the helm in Bauchi, the journey toward healthier mothers and children just gained powerful new momentum.
