The Nutrition Society of Nigeria (NSN) has inaugurated a new Central Organizing Committee (COC) entrusted with overseeing the Society’s various programs and activities. The committee’s mandate will span for three years, renewable every year, and includes planning and implementing all nutrition-related initiatives organized by the society. The inaugural ceremony, held virtually on Saturday 27th April, 2024, witnessed delegates from both the National Executive Council (NEC) and Standing Members of the Central Organizing Committee in attendance.
Addressing the COC, Professor W.A.O. Afolabi, NSN President, urged the newly inaugurated committee to deploy their best efforts towards achieving the best possible outcomes from the Society’s initiatives.
In response, the COC Chairman, Professor Ogechi Nzeagwu, expressed gratitude to the President and the NEC of NSN for finding them worthy to serve and pledged the committee’s unwavering commitment to steer the society’s programs to success. The COC will serve from 2024 to 2026.
